Prior to any treatment, you will have a face-to-face consultation with one of our very experienced doctors. A full medical history will be discussed with a registered nurse (me) and the doctor. We will then evaluate your general skin tone and facial appearance, examining the areas of your face you wish to rejuvenate to determine suitability for treatment. This will ensure you will receive the best possible outcome with the chosen procedure and dosages.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections
It is refreshing to know the stigma of anti-wrinkle injections are slowly but surely on the road to acceptance. In the same breath - injection techniques, education and knowledge is advancing which means fearing the dreaded fake look no longer has to be our only option.
Anti-wrinkle injections are used to reduce dynamic lines and wrinkles that form from repeated use of the facial muscles. Usually our muscles contract when our nerves release a chemical (acetylcholine, a neuro transmitter). When anti-wrinkle injections are used, it blocks the release of this chemical, temporarily stopping the signal from the nerve to the muscle to contract.
This is a very quick and easy treatment that involves having a few small injections to the area needing treatment. Effects usually last up to 3-4 months but can be different for everyone.

Excessive Sweating (hyperhidrosis)
Hyperhydrosis is a medical condition where our body sweats beyond its temperature regulation needs. It can be a quite an embarrassing and uncomfortable condition and generally runs in families and is therefore considered genetic.
Anti-wrinkle or muscle relaxants (which are the same medication) can be used to help block the signal from the brain to the tiny muscles responsible for the sweating action. The effect is temporary and causes no long-term effects to the body.
Fine needles are used to inject into the sweat glands within the area of concern and the treatment is over within a few minutes. The benefits of this treatment last for approximately six months.
HYPERHiDROSIS $11/UNIT

For example: A malleable filler is used in the trough area as this is a very soft contour on the face however a thicker filler is optimal when contouring a jawline. Usually but not always thicker filler tend to have a longevity, meaning they last longer.
The amount of filler required for a treatment will be determined during your consultation, taking into consideration factors such as volume loss and budget.

Fat Dissolving
Sick of always having to worry about the angle of a photo? Worry no longer. Permanently reduce stubborn pockets of fat with a non-surgical option. Fat Dissolving Injections contain a synthetic version of a naturally occurring substance in the body that aids in the destruction of dietary fats. When injected into the targeted fatty deposits, the substance breaks down the fat cells which the body then absorbs and excretes.
The most popular area for treatment is under the chin, inner thighs, love handles, abdomen and the back of the upper arms. The treatment is not for weight loss, so the areas suitable for treatment are generally ‘pockets’ of fat. The appearance of a fatty deposit in the double chin area may also be affected by varies factors such as muscle tone. Therefore a through consultation is needed to assess your suitability.
What does the treatment involve?
On arrival your skin will be cleansed and a topical numbing will be applied. A series of tiny injections are used within the treatment area. The destruction of the fat cells, although very short lasting has been described anywhere from a mild ache to quite a severe pain. We have various methods to keep you comfortable, including injectable anesthetic and ice.
The treatment usually takes no longer than 5 minutes (sub mental chin area) and ice will be applied straight after the treatment. Afterwards moderate to intense swelling will occur, as well as reddening and/or itching. This is not the most enjoyable part of the treatment but remember, it is a permanent reduction of fat cells, yay! This can take a few hours to develop and usually continues for 3 to 5 days, however, some people can experience this for weeks. Results can be seen from around 8 weeks post-treatment and are permanent.
Most people require 3-4 injection sessions at 4-6 weeks apart, but these variances will be discussed with you on assessment of the treatment area.
