How do PDO threads work?

Thread lifting is effective in subtly “lifting” the skin through the use of dissolvable threads that are placed under the skin via a very small cannula. The threads used come in different textures - which each produce a different outcome depending on the clients desired look. A thread lift can be used to compliment other treatments or on their own to effectively improve different facial areas.

Is treatment painful?

Medical-grade numbing cream is used to make the procedure more comfortable, but most patients feel very little discomfort during this treatment. Our highly experienced Registered Nurse does not rush the process and will prepare you prior to the procedure, and walk you through it at a pace that suits you.

Is there any downtime?

Recovery time after thread lifting is minimal. Most patients are able to return to work and most normal activity 24hrs after the procedure with only minor discomfort. It is common for patients to experience minor inflammation and bruising, which typically resolves within one week. The average recovery time post thread lifting is 3 days.

When will I see results and how long do they last?

Results can be seen relativiely immediately, with increasing improvements as collagen production is encouraged over time. Although the effects from a thread lift will be temporary and not as dramatic as a facelift, continued improvement can be seen gradually as the procedure stimulates natural collagen production with results lasting up to 18 months.
